Meraki Story Co.

Privacy Policy

Effective October 21, 2026

Meraki Story Co. (“I,” “me,” or “my”) runs merakistoryco.com. Your privacy matters to me. This page explains, in plain English, what information this website collects, why, and what you can do about it.

What I Collect

  • When you contact me: if you use the contact form or email me, I receive your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message.
  • When you book a call: booking buttons take you to Calendly, which collects the details you enter there (like your name, email, and meeting time) and shares them with me so we can meet.
  • When you leave a comment: if you comment on a page or article, your name, email address, and comment are collected.
  • When you visit: like most websites, this site automatically collects basic visit information, such as pages viewed, the website that sent you here, your browser and device type, and your IP address. I use this only in combined form to see which pages are helpful.

How I Use Your Information

  • To reply to your questions and schedule our conversations
  • To provide the services you hire me for
  • To understand how visitors use the site so I can improve it
  • To keep the site secure and filter out spam

I don’t sell your personal information, and I don’t add you to an email list unless you ask to join one.

Services That Help Run This Site

A few trusted services handle information on my behalf. Each has its own privacy policy:

  • WordPress.com and Jetpack (Automattic) host this website, power the contact form and comments, filter spam, and provide site statistics.
  • Calendly handles call scheduling.
  • Zoom is used for our calls.
  • Google and Bing may see basic information when you arrive from a search.

Cookies

This site and the services above use cookies, small files saved in your browser, to keep the site working, remember preferences, and measure visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work as well if you do.

Affiliate Links

Some pages link to books on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. If you click one of those links, Amazon may set a cookie to track the purchase. It doesn’t change your price.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. There isn’t an industry standard for responding to it, so this site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.

Your Choices

You can ask me to show you, correct, or delete the personal information I have about you at any time. Just email anna@merakistoryco.com and I’ll take care of it within 30 days.

How Long I Keep Information

I keep contact messages and client records only as long as I need them to work with you or as required by law, and then I delete them.

Children

This website is for business owners and adults. I don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If I update this policy, I’ll post the new version here and change the effective date at the top.
